08 Sep Cycle 2 Done!
Warning! Fitness/Exercise post and more dodgy pants photos!
I’ve come to the end of the second cycle of The Body Coach’s 90 Day SSS Plan.
If you aren’t familiar with it, it’s a 90 day plan that is split into 3 x 30 day cycles that have been tailored to your personal statistics and goals.
The first helps you to SHIFT and is very much geared towards stripping away fat with HIIT workouts and clean food.
The second helps you to cut your SHAPE withe the introduction of weight training along the HIIT.
The third teaches you how to SUSTAIN this by reducing the amount of carb heavy meals and balancing this with the exercise.
You can find more information here: (NB I have not been paid or sponsored to undergo this plan, I found this when looking for a way to change my eating habits and to get stronger)
So I did my measurements this morning and as you can see, compared to cycle one I have maintained my weight whilst gaining on my biceps and thighs but slimming my waist.
I’m delighted with the changes.
The food on this cycle was from a pick and mix list rather than from a set menu so you can select the fat, protein, etc that makes up your meal.
This ignited my enthusiasm as I could be more creative with my meal plans.
I LOVED the weights training too. I’ve always preferred lifting to cardio (who doesn’t right?) so it was rewarding to see my body start to take shape.
Now it could just be the lighting in my bathroom, but I’m sure I can see some little baby abs under that blanket of wrinkly post baby flop saying “We’re here!!! Let us out!”
(PS, yes they are smart price loo rolls…..I need my money for chicken)
Again – Have I stuck to plan 100% – No. I still like my Bran Flakes in the morning – I know a chicken breast and eggs would be better but morning time in my house is chaos and I need quick and available.
I’ve also had the odd G&T and yes, my daily coffee tally is still in double figures but you know what? The more this fits into MY LIFE the more sustainable this will be.
I look healthier than I ever have and that is after two kids.
I thought that when I had one, that was my excuse for ballooning and it just wasn’t. I need my energy now more than ever.
I’m looking forward to cycle 3 now but i’m going to be sad to kiss goodbye to some of these lovely carbs,.
