Labour and birth

Welcome To The World!

This is it.

It’s true what I read and heard.

My body feels like it’s going to break.

I doubt that I can come through this.

When I felt the first wave, I started to sweat. Not from the actual pain but by the reality that had hit me.

You were on your way.

This was really happening wasn’t it?

There was no going back.

I need to focus on the end result.
It’s so difficult to see past the here and now though.

Can I do this?

My knees are now trembling and my teeth gritted yet chattering uncontrollably.
My parts are on bloody fire and for a second I think I’m going to die here.

I grip my seat with clammy hands, my whole life flashing before my sweaty stinging eyes.

My body pushes and I start to pant, hoping that this helps the crowning, trying my hardest to not push despite every muscle saying PUSH! THIS IS IT!!

Hoo hoo hoo!

And then it happened. You entered the world swiftly, the relief instant. Like a euphoria.

Welcome to the world……
My first post partum poo.
