13 Oct Review: Tickled Pink Halloween Challenge
It’s almost here!! Has your little one decided what they want to dress up as this Halloween?
I for one remember the good old days of the rubber finger nails and bin bag cape but as with everything, children’s choices are getting more and more sophisticated.
When Tickled Pink Fancy Dress asked me if I would participate in their Halloween challenge, I jumped at the chance.
We got to pick an outfit and add a couple of accessories to make the outfit complete.
Finally – a homework that we could enjoy!
I had already looked at Tickled Pink’s website and I loved their range of Halloween outfits. Not only did they have the usual witches, wizards, devils etc but also zombies, clowns and awesome morph suits!
It was always going to be a no-brainer for us – we picked the Monster High Clawdeen Wolf outfit (Huge Monster High Fans in this house!) and we weren’t disappointed when it arrived.
The outfit contained the top, skirt, belt & choker.
We had a chat about what to add to make it more authentic.
“Ears! And I need to make my hair more Clawdeen” Said Niamh.
The wig shown in the picture was to be bought seperately so we decided to improvise.
During a trip to Poundland we found some hair chalk! Niamh picked a funky purple and at just a pound (obviously) it was a bargain!
The chalk took a few applications but was just the ticket to add to her back combed hair.
We then needed to add some ears! to do this we had a dig around in Niamh’s craft box and found some blank coloured greeting cards.
Choosing the purple, we cut out ear shapes and taped them around an old headband.
This is ultimately as far as my creativity goes! We recreated the boots using knee length socks and hey presto!
